Jolene Pickelman, M.A., LPC - Co-Owner
Jolene Pickelman is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University. She has been working in the counseling field for the past 30 years. Jolene has specialized training in working with adults and adolescents that have addiction and/or mental health issues. Jolene provides individual, group, family counseling, marital counseling and substance abuse evaluations to a wide population of clients. She also assists clients who are in the process of getting a restricted or full drivers license by completing a Secretary of State substance abuse evaluation with them. Jolene utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy as well as motivational interviewing and works well with a variety of clients.  When not at work, Jolene enjoys gardening, crafting, and caring for her many animals.

Angela Volk, M.A., LPC - Co-Owner
Angela Volk is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University. She has been working in the counseling field for the past 30 years. Angela has specialized training in working with adults and adolescents that have addiction and/or mental health issues. Angela provides individual, group, family counseling, marital counseling.  Angela also completes substance abuse evaluations for client with pending legal offenses. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy as well as motivational interviewing and works well with a variety of clients.  When not at work, Angela enjoys gardening, reading, and caring for her dogs and cat.

Adam Michels, M.A., LPC
Adam Michels is currently a  Licensed Professional Counselor. Adam received a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University after achieving a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Mathematics, and English from Central Michigan University. He has a wide range of experience in working with juveniles and young adults through working in a variety of roles in higher education and recreation settings. Adam has a focus in counseling with substance abuse, personal growth, and mental health counseling. He provides individual, couple, family and group counseling, and is available for presentations and mini-seminars within a variety of areas.

Nicole Rickard MA, LPC

Nicole Rickard earned her Master of Arts degree in Professional and School Counseling from Central Michigan University and has worked in the helping profession for 12 years.  Nicole has experience in a variety of settings and enjoys working with children, adolescents, families, and couples on a range of issues including mental health, personal growth, behavioral concerns, family/marital conflict, and substance abuse.  In addition to traditional therapy, Nicole also conducts group sessions, trainings and presentations on a range of topics.  Nicole utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and brief strategic family therapy from a person-centered and holistic standpoint, and is open to exploring non-traditional/alternative healing paths with clients.

Anne Marie Brooks, LMSW

Anne Marie Brooks is a  Licensed Master in Social Work Therapist.  She earned her Master in Social Work Degree from Michigan State University.  She has experience assisting clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.  She provides individual, marital, and family counseling and also facilitates groups. Anne Marie is certified in BSFT (Brief Strategic Family Therapy).  She works with a wide variety of age groups, particularly young adults.

Norman Blohm, M.A., LLPC

Norman Blohm completed his Masters of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Phoenix, Ann Arbor Campus. Norman received his Bachelors in Psychology from Central Michigan University.  Norman has experience working with substance abuse issues, family counseling, and mental health counseling. He utilizes Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Norman currently facilitates the 511 program in the Midland County Jail, and is involved with Midland County Drug Court and the HOPE Program.

Stacie Johnson, LMSW

Stacie Johnson is a Licensced Master in Social Work Therapist.  She earned her Master in Social Work Degree from  Grand Valley State University.  Stacie is also certified to provide EMDR therapy and DBT therapy.  Stacie has experience assisting clients with substance abuse and/or mental health issues.  She provides individual, marital, and family counseling to adults and adolescents.

Kathy Ziemer, M.A., LPC

Kathy Ziemer earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She has over 20 years experience in dealing with individuals struggling with addiction and also mental health issues.  Kathy provides individual, family, and marriage counseling, and works with adults and adolescents.

David Hotopp, MA, LLPC:

David Hotopp earned his Master of Arts in Professional Counseling degree from Central Michigan University and Master of Divinity degree from Talbot Theological Seminary.  Dave has specialized training in working with adults and adolescents that have addiction and/or general mental health issues.  Dave holds certifications for several behavioral assessments and is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst, Professional Motivators Analyst, and Hartman/DNA with Target training International.  Dave is also certified as a Prepare/Enrich for Couple Worship Counselor.  Dave provides individual, group, family counseling and marital counseling.  Dave utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy and works well with with a variety of clients.

Martina Ricards, LLMSW:

Martina Ricards earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies and Sociology from Albion College.  As a clinical social worker, Martina provides strength and empowerment-based perspectives, believing we flourish when we acknowledge our inner power and depth of possibility.  She implements Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help individuals, families, and groups achieve their specific goals.  Martina has a special interest in working with young adults, and those of all ages experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, or substance abuse/dependence.  Martina is certified in Mindfulness-Based Substance Abuse Treatment for Adolescents, and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counseling, as well as the University of Michigan's Addiction Certificate.

Connor Volk, DOG, PAW

Connor is a 125lb rescue yellow lab mix four legged staff member.  He has dog years of experience as he has a been a dog his entire life.  Connor has extensive experience in accepting pets (especially belly rubs) and dog treats.  He enjoys seeing all types of clients, including cat owners:)  Connor looks forward to greeting you at our office.
